The Pan Tramvai
Pan tramvai is a sweet bread typical of the Lombardy tradition, especially of Brianza. Of ancient origins, dating back to the end of the 19th century, it was the snack of commuters who had to travel from Monza to Milan by tram: a rather long journey, sweetened by a few slices of this fragrant, naturally leavened baked product, enriched with lots of dried sultanas.
